265 corona recoveries in a day boost percentage to 93 in Jamshedpur, active cases climb down to 908

Less than 4000 active cases of Coronavirus in Jharkhand

Jamshedpur, Nov 12: Thursday came as relief for Jamshedpur as after a gap of three days, East Singhbhum recorded one COVID-19 death on November 12 while 265 people recovered of the virus in a single day which helped climb the recovery rate to 93% for the very first time.   

East Singhbhum district reported 49 positive cases while 265 people recovered of the virus on Monday.

Growth of Coronavirus cases are on the decline in Jamshedpur.

Coronavirus cases in Jamshedpur reached 16339 with 49 new cases reported on November 12. The death toll remained at 361 with no death reported in East Singhbhum district on Thursday.

265 people recovered of the virus on Thursday taking the total recovery to 15070 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 908.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 123987 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 931% while the mortality rate is 2.2 %.

So far in Jamshedpur 344663 samples have been collected out of which 330054 have been tested and 313715 have turned out to be negative.

On the other hand, the state has achieved yet another milestone in its battle against Coronavirus as on Thursday the total number of active cases of Covid-19 came below the 4,000 mark. On the other hand the Coronavirus tally in the state on Thursday reached to 1,05,493 as 269 new cases of Covid-19 were detected across 22 districts. During the day 4 deaths were reported including 1 each from Chatra, Latehar, Palamu and Ranchi districts as a result of which the overall death count has reached to 917.

The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.86 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 3,668 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,00,908. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 917.

On Thursday a maximum number of 65 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 49 in East Singhbhum, 43 in Dhanbad, 18 each in Bokaro and Palamu 29 and 16 in Ramgarh (top five districts). No cases were found in Jamtara and Dumka districts during the day. A total of number of 606 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 265 from East Singhbhum, 108 from Ranchi, 34 in Jamtara, 33 in Bokaro and 22 in Deoghar. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 95 percent mark to currently stand at 95.65 percent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 37,56,896 samples have been collected out of which 37,38,656 have been tested and 36,33,163 have turned out to be negative.
