25th Shyam Mahotsav kicks off at Sakchi

Jamshedpur, Feb 9: Under the aegis of Shree Shyam Pariwar Chartable Trust and Sakchi Shiv Mandir the 25th Shyam Mahotsav kicked off at the Shiv Mandir on Sunday, Feb 9. On the first day of the festival on Sunday Dance and Shyam Akhand Jyot Path were held.

More than 500 Shaym devotees participated in the Jyot Path with famous Vijay Kumar Sharma of Kanpur. At the event the Jyot Path carried on for more than five hours were Shyam Jagran Manch provided their full support.

Ritual procession today the organizers are working hard to complete all preparations. They all make their presence felt at the court of Shyam Baba devotees have also been requested. On this occasion a Grand Shobha Yatra will taken out at Sakchi area on Feb 10 which will tour to Sakchi Sri Siva temple.

The procession will be taken out from Sakchi Mandir covering areas of Sakchi and Kasidih and will conclude at around 5 pm. At the Shobha Yatra main attraction will be tabluex prepared by various Mandals. Chhau dance from Purulia, large flags, band parties and several others. At around 8.30 Akhand Jyoti and at 9 pm Vishal Sakirtan will be held. Artists from Kolkata Jai Chaudhary, Pooja Agarwal and Sunil Agarwal will perform.

It is expected that thousands of devotees will be present to take part in the celebration. On Tuesday, Feb 11 Prasad will be distributed to the devotees at Jain Bhavan in Sakchi which will mark the conclusion of the celebration. The organizers are working hard to make the festival a success.
