250 attend awareness camp on initiatives by DGMS

Jamshedpur, June 2: An awareness session on initiatives by DGMS was organised at Joda valley club of Joda, Tata Steel.

This session was organised under the aegis of DMS Chaibasa office and session was addressed by Satish Kumar, Director of Mines Safety (DMS), Chaibasa region.

Anurag Dixit, Chief Khandband welcomed all the dignitaries attending the awareness programme. He highlighted the importance of this awareness session and its importance in day to day safe mining operation.

The programme was attended by around 250 participants from different mines of Joda and Barbil region which included management, employees, contractors and other stakeholders.

DMS explained the initiatives taken by Director General of Mines Safety (DGMS) to ensure Safety and welfare of persons employed in mines.

During awareness session he imparted training on Efiling of DGMS returns on Shram Suvidha Portal. After the session a question answer session was also held to sort out the doubts among the participants.

The main objective of the session was to communicate the transparency and accountability brought through the Shram Suvidha Portal of Labour and Employment ministry of Govt. of India.

At the end of this programme vote of thanks was given by Rajesh Kumar, Head & Mines Manager of Joda East Iron Mine.

This programme was coordinated by Braj Binod Kumar, Sr. Manager , Safety ,Joda East Iron Mine.
