Jamshedpur, Sept. 9: Dr S Radhakrishnan always kept reminding us of the importance of the teacher. Celebrating Teachers’ Day on his birthday gives an opportunity for all to be inspired by the life and teachings of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan whose dream was that �Teachers should be the best minds in the country�. This day is considered as an important day in schools and colleges. Teachers’ Day is celebrated with full fervor and joy in all the educational institutions across India. On this day, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great scholar, and an academic philosopher is honored as he was born on the same day in 1888.
On this auspicious occasion Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City felicitated 25 government school teachers with Nation builder Award at a city hotel. The chief guest for the evening was District Trainer Rotarian Alokananda Bakshi and Dr Banerjee.
The guests honoured the teachers. Wonderful dance performance by Khushi Kumari from Burmamines government school and Ridhi Kumari spoke about teachers’ day.
