Jamshedpur: 240 underprivileged students of remote area were benefited from dental check-up-cum-awareness camp organized by Nav Nirman Sanstha, a social arm of Adhunik Power & Natural Resources Limited in association with Awadh Dental College & Hospital, Jamshedpur at Community Center, Badahariharpur and Government Middle Padampur. The two-day camp concluded on Friday.
As many as 240 students and local villagers were examined in the camp. Apart from proper checkup, the students and locals were also made aware about dental health and hygiene by the team of experts and doctors.
In-charge of the doctor’s team Prem Singh, Dr. Mrinmoy Bhakat, Dr. Renuka Mahali, Dr. Vivek Chandan, Dr. Sangeeta Dey and Dr. Anushka Sinha of Awadh Dental College & Hospital examined students. Besides, Harendra Pathak, Principal Government Middle School, Badahariharpur and Geeta Sinha, Principal, Primary School, Srirampur were also present on the occasion.
Representative of Adhunik Power & Natural Resources Limited, Padampur Sanjeet Sinha said that the modern eating habits are one of the biggest reasons for dental problems. “If we regularly visit dentist and follow good eating habits we can avoid oral problems”, he added.
Doctors also gave vital tips for keeping the teeth and gums in good shape. The team of the doctors said that most of the dental diseases can be prevented by simple practice of brushing twice daily with a soft bristle brush.
