24 private schools to admit BPL students

Seraikela, Feb 21:  Underprivileged children, ST/SC students, extremely backward class, those belonging to minority communities, students with more than 40 per cent disability and orphans will get admitted in 24 private schools in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district for the ensuing academic session as part of Right To Education (RTE) Act. 
In addition those students whose parents annual income is less than Rs 72,000 will also be admitted. 
The district superintendent of education Mahmud Alam has sent letters to the private schools as per the RTE Act 2009 for admission and free education of such categories of students in nursery, LKG and class one of their school as they have to reserve 25 percent of their total students capacity. Students of such categories staying within six kilometer area of the school can avail admission under the RTE Act.
