Abhishek Bachchan to add glamour to ISL game at JRD Stadium
Jamshedpur, Nov. 22: Jamshedpur FC’s first loss against FC Pune City in Indian Super league 5 has failed to dampen the spirits of football lovers in the Steel City.
The furnace (JRD Tata Sports Complex) which will host Jamshedpur FC against Chennaiyin FC on November 25 is again staring at a full house as 21,000 tickets have been sold till November 22.
Tickets of Rs 50 and Rs 100 denominations have been exhausted while a limited number of Rs.200 for south west & north west upper stands, Rs 250 for east upper and Rs 350 for east lower are still available.
Being a Sunday, a huge crowd is expected and with Bollywood star and co-owner of Chennaiyin FC Abhishek Bachchan slated to come to Jamshedpur, the craze among the fans has reached a new high.
Jamshedpur FC management is expecting another sold out match against Chennaiyin FC.
�Tickets for Jamshedpur FC – Chennaiyin FC are going off the shelves and 21,000 tickets have been sold of which Rs 50 and Rs 100 denomination tickets are sold out. Limited Rs 200, Rs 250 and Rs 350 denomination tickets are still available at stadium counters and online (Paytm & insider. in),� said Jamshedpur FC Operations Manager, Raja Bhattacharjee.
The capacity of the stadium is around 23,700 as compared to 24,774 earlier.
Barring the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi and the JRD Tata Sports Complex here, no other ISL hosting venues have seen full houses.
Currently, Jamshedpur FC is at the fourth place in ISL with 11 points from eight matches. The Tata Steel owned franchisee has drawn five matches, won two and lost one match. ‘Men of Steel’ have only won a single match at their home this season and would be looking to grab three points against Chennaiyin FC to enhance their prospects of making it to the play off.
Along with Abhishek Bachchan, Vita Dani, another co-owner of Chennaiyin FC and cousin of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani will attend the match at Jamshedpur.
