2 killed after motorbike, pick-up van collide head-on

Jamshedpur, Dec. 27: Two men died after their motorcycle collided with pick up van at Ratanpur in Kandra-Chowka main road on Sunday.

Bikers Ganesh Chandra Mandal and Anoop Patel were residents of Jata Village under Nimdih Police Station. According to sources, Ganesh and Anoop were travelling from Kandra to Nimdih and in the sequence they collided head on with speeding pick up van coming from Chandil and both feel down.

They suffered serious head injuries and soon Kandra Police which reached the spot and made arrangements for taking them to TMH but the duo scummed to injuries while on the way to the hospital.

Police seized both the vehicles. On the other hand, kin and locals jammed Tata-Kandra Road in Gamharia demanding adequate compensation for Balrampur resident Ramayan Sahu, who died after colliding with a car near KPS School in Gamharia on Friday night.

A local of the area said, police should seize the vehicle and provide adequate compensation to the family of the deceased.

The road was blocked for over an hour which resulted in traffic jam as vehicles was started on both the side which made the commuters suffer.

After getting the information, Arvind Kumar of Adityapur Police Station along with Kandra and Gamharia Police reached the spot and made the people encapsulated.

Later a meet was held where police assured the people of adequate compensation and soon arrest of car driver. Ten thousand rupees was provided for last rites of Ramayan Sahu and people moved away to release the jam.
