Jamshedpur, December 27: Police has taken action in the case of occupation of Khatiani land by businessmen in the name of Durgacharan Bhumij, father of Dumka Singh, resident of Asanbani of Chandil police station area of Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
In this case, the police have arrested businessman Sanjay Debuka and Nishant Dhoot, brother of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry official Nitesh Dhoot.
A case has been filed against them under SC/ST Atrocity Act. In this case, on the statement of Dumka Singh in Chandil police station, on July 23, 2023, a case has been registered against Chhitarmal Dhoot, Sanjay Kumar Debuka and Nishant Dhoot under fraud, extortion and Harijan Act. Chhitarmal Dhoot lives in Jugsalai Old Basti Road.
His son Nishant Dhoot is also an accused in the case. Sanjay Kumar Debuka Kadma lives in Ramnagar and has a ply board shop in Sakchi Mill and Godown area.
Dumka Singh told the police that there is a Khatiani land in the name of father Durgacharan Bhumij alias Durga Singh. Brother Ganesh Singh is illiterate. The three accused tricked his brother Ganesh Singh and got the land registered and started construction work on it. The incident is of 15 March 2021. Later, land worth Rs 2 crore was registered from brother Ganesh Singh for Rs 21 lakh and gave Rs 50,000 to brother as advance. The accused called and threatened to kill.
On May 26, they started work on the boundary wall. The police has taken this major action in the case filed regarding this matter.
