1st ASISC Chess Competition begins at Tarapore School

Jamshedpur: The first ASISC Chess Competition hosted by Tarapore School began in the school premises on Wednesday. The event has been divided into senior boys and girls and junior boys and girls with participants from all the schools affiliated to the CISCE board.

130 students from 22 city schools are participating to test their wits against each other.
The Chairman of Tarapore School, B.D. Bodhanwala was the Chief Guest during the opening ceremony. The entire event was smoothly conducted under the aegis of the Jamshedpur Chess Academy, supervised by Pritam Singh and supported by the games teachers of Tarapore School.
The Chief Arbiter is Asit Baran Choudhury, who ensured that the event was conducted without any hitch.
Three rounds of the competition were conducted on the 25th of July and the remaining three rounds will be conducted on the 26th of July with prize distribution.
