170 students of Tagore School of Arts clear diploma course

Jamshedpur: City’s cultural centre Rabindra Bhawan hosted convocation for the students of Tagore School of Arts who have successfully completed diploma courses in different genres of arts. Students presented the welcome song while Dr. HS Pal, President of Tagore Society in his welcome address explained about the importance of art in life to all the diploma holders.

Dr. Jehar Banerjee, Chairman of Tagore School of Arts, presented the annual report of the school. He said that a total of 170 students of different genres of 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 were part of the convocation ceremony and were handed diploma certificates.

Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof. Partha Pratim Chattopadhyay, director, National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology, Ranchi, who presented the convocation lecture and later handed over the certificates to all the diploma holders.

Ashis Chowdhury, general secretary of Tagore Society extended the vote of thanks and congratulated the outgoing students and wished them luck for their future endeavors.
