Jamshedpur: Urban Services, Tata Steel recently organized the 13th Jharkhand Yoga Championship in Ranchi from 11 to 13 July.
As many as 10 yoga learners from its various community centres participated in the championship. Anusha Karmakar and Rahul Malakar won the gold and silver medals under girls and boys category.
Urban Services imparts regular training in various sporting disciplines such as Athletics, Boxing, Basket ball, Cricket, Football, Bodybuilding, Power lifting, Weightlifting, Volleyball, Yoga etc.
Besides this it also organises events at basti (urban settlement) and inter-basti levels and facilitates participation at State, Zonal and National Championships.
Boys and girls from various bastis participate in the sports activities across all the twelve community centres. It also provides a platform to discover and hone local talents.
