116 people return to Jamshedpur from Vellore, Sent to 28 day home quarantine after swab sample collection

Jamshedpur, May 8: A train from Vellore of Tamil Nadu brought back 1200 people including patients, their family members and workers at Hatia Railway Station on Friday.

Stranded people including patients reached at Hatia Railway Station via a special train. Several arrangements were made by railways for the benefit of passengers as most of the passengers were patients, coming from Vellore.

Arrangements were made for 50 wheelchairs, sufficient coolies, drinking water. Railway staff were deputed to guide them on their arrival at the station here. Of the 1200 people, 116 are residents of East Singhbhum district. As the train reached Hatia, East Singhbhum district administration had made arrangements for buses.

They were brought back to Jamshedpur along with people who had completed quarantine duration. All were taken directly to Loyola School where swab sample collection was done and their name, address and phone number was recorded.�

The doctors along with the medical team conducted the thermal screening and gave necessary information about home quarantine. The officials ordered all the migrants to be under 28 day home quarantine and informed that the district administration will inspect if the rules are followed or not. The district administration had also made arrangements to drop the migrants to their respective homes.���
