Stakeholders huddle to improve water supply in Mango

Jamshedpur: A meeting to discuss ways to improve water supply scenario in Mango was organized at a Sakchi hotel on Tuesday. It was attended by the representatives of Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC), JUDCO and Darashah, a consultancy firm.

The consultancy firm representatives gave suggestions to improve the water supply system through a Power Point presentation and stressed on running the water supply project of Mango in Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) mode.

The participants were told that the daily drinking water requirement of a family as per government standards was 135 litre. They were apprised of the need to ensure a proportional billing system, install digital meters, measures against leakage, developing a mechanism to measure water pressure at zonal level and dispose complaints of subscribers within 24 hours.

The meeting was attended by the special officer of MNAC Sanjay Kumar, deputy manager of JUDCO Sonam Sahay, Piyush Kumar of Darashah Consultancy Service and city manager of MNAC, Devashish Pradhan. Several citizens also participated in the meeting.
