Jamshedpur, Sep 4: Jyoti Unit of Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) celebrated �Daan Utsav� in its school premises on 4th September. Jyoti members had collected 850 kg rice, 450 kg pulses, 50kg atta, 5kg milk powder and oat, few biscuit packets for flood hit areas of Bihar.
Students, teachers, staff of the school spread their arms to help Jyoti members to collect these materials by donating above mentioned materials. The floods have ravaged 30 of Bihar’s 38 districts, affected over 70 lakh people and caused at least Rs 15,000 crore in losses.
Principal Ashu Tiwary, Vice Principal Dr Ritu Choudhary, all senior and juniors co-ordinators had provided tremendous support to organize the event. Daan Utsav was celebrated by handing over the relief materials to the Jyoti coordinator, father OJS Dayanidhi Bisoi. Jyoti moderator Keya Adak and Jyoti members took initiative to organize the Daan Utsav.
