Jamshedpur, Aug. 16: On the occasion of 71st Independence Day celebration, members of Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur, clad in tricolour, gathered to witness the flag hoisting ceremony at Jagriti School, Kadma, August 15.
Pasam Adeshra was the chief guest for the occasion who hoisted the national flag. Nalini Ram Murthy was also present on the occasion.
After the flag hoisting, children of Jagriti School presented dance based on national integration and Janmashtami.
Prize distribution was also held for the drawing competition organised on 12th August.
In senior category, Mamta, Sunil and Sushmita grabbed 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively. In junior category Neel and Savita got 1st and 2nd prize. Priyanka was given a special prize for her super dance performance.
One of the club member, Preity Goyal donated Note books, pencils and pens for Jagriti children. She also handed over a cheque of Rs.50,000 for the salary of the teachers of Jagriti for the whole year.
Members present on the occasion were Vice President Mamta Trehan, Secretary Suman Khemka, Treasurer Shweta Chand, Vinita Shah, Editor Manju Rani Singh, Committee members Indu Bhambri, Rekha Jaiswal, Gurdeep Marwah and Sarika Singh, Alka Garg, Renu Jaiswal, Neelakshi Jaiswal, Malti Singh and Sonam Saberwal.
