11 couples tie the knot at Sidhgora mass wedding

Jamshedpur, Dec. 11: Eleven couples took wedding vows during the mass marriage ceremony organized by social organization ‘Samadhan’ at Sonemandap and Town Hall Ground in the Sidhgora Surya Mandir on Friday.

Each couple was presented 32 house hold materials including joint bank accounts worth Rs. 1000, Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana of Rs 2 lakh, suitcases, beds, utensils set and other items.

Poonam Vig, president of Samadhan, said, “Our members have worked very hard to make this event successful. We launched campaign to make ensure that the message reaches the needful. After the couples approached us for registration, we conducted a background check on them and later organized a court marriage for them.”

During the mass wedding, the couples were provided with all necessary materials to start a new life. Each couple was allowed to invite 25 people, including, to witness their marriage.
