Jamshedpur, Nov. 12: District public relation officer Sanjay Kumar with support of voluntary organisation, Change India Foundation on Saturday met the beggars and selected 11 child beggars who beg near and around Sakchi market.
At the event it was also informed that of the 11 child beggars, 5 of them don’t have father or mother. After being orphaned, these children took to begging while 6 other child beggars have their mother living with them and some of them occasionally visit the school.
The child beggars Ravi (10 years), Mohan (9 years) and Mukund (11 years), mothers said, we fear that our children don’t take the wrong path and start consuming dendrite and other drugs. The mothers for their children’s future urged the administration to provide rehabilitation.
On the occasion DPRO informed that members of Change Indian Foundation will counsel the children for a week and then they would appear before Child welfare samiti president Prabha Jaiswal and their rehabilitation process will start.
On the demands of the children, DPRO took the children for a round in his four wheeler were Vishwajeet Prasad, Rahul Vashishth, Anand Parti, Aryan Pandey and others were present.
