108th Gopashtami Festival to commence in Chakulia on Nov 20th and 21st

Chakulia: The Kolkata Pinjrapole Society’s cow shed in Naya Bazaar, Chakulia Nagar Panchayat, is gearing up to host the 108th annual Gopashtami festival on November 20th and 21st. Preparations are in full swing, including the cleaning and painting of the cow shed.

The worship of Mother Cow is scheduled for 8:00 am on November 20th, followed by a procession at 9:00 am. The Gopashtami fair will be inaugurated at 4:00 pm, featuring various cultural programs in the evening. The festivities will continue on November 21st, with the Gopashtami fair kicking off at 7:00 pm, accompanied by diverse cultural performances.

Sanjay Kumar Lodha, the General Secretary of the Gaushala Committee, provided this information. Notably, this cow shelter is recognized among the top cow shelters in Jharkhand, holding a distinct identity in the realm of cow service.

Additionally, Gopashtami Mahotsav is set to be celebrated on November 19th and 20th at the Golok Dhyan Foundation Gaushala in the airstrip area of Chakulia. Vineet Kumar Rungta of Dhyan Foundation shared that the event will include worship, Prasad distribution, and musical cow kirtan, with elaborate preparations underway.
