100 percent placement for Tata Steel housekeeping trainees

Jamshedpur, Oct. 27: Tata Steel Skill Development Society (TSSDS) has achieved 100 percent placement of the trainees enrolled in its housekeeping course for the seventh consecutive time.

All the 21 trainees of the 11th batch for the two-month course were given job offer letters on Tuesday at a valedictory function held at Hospitality Training Centre in Kolebira.

Among the 21 successful trainees, 11 will join Little Italy Restro in Pune, Bangalore, and Mahabaleshwar, 6 will join UNA Hotel Amritsar and the remaining 4 will join Hotel Park Center Point, Jamshedpur. The salaries offered to these trainees range from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 6,300 along with other incentives.

A press statement issued by the TSSDS said that chief guest Mr. Dinesh Sahu, who is also the vice-president, Tata Workers� Union, Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Limited, asked the trainees to always remain open to learning and training in the hospitality sector.

Captain Amitabh, Head, Skill Development, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Tata Steel exhorted the trainees to look out for better training opportunities for professional growth.

In its bid to fulfill the demand of trained manpower in hospitality sector, Tata Steel along with Indian Hotels and PRATHAM, an NGO, has been training economically weak youth at its Hospitality Training Centre in Kolebira since 2013.
