Zomato ties up with JAWS to provide food for Paws in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Sept. 28: Zomato Feeding India, the India chapter of Zomato Feeding Foundation, has launched Food for Paws � an initiative to provide sustenance to strays. Food delivery aggregator and search platform in its CSR move has tied up with Jharkhand Animal Welfare Society (JAWS) for running Food for PAWS campaign in the Steel City. This is a unique campaign started by the online food delivery organisation wherein they are feeding homeless animals. As a part of their CSR activities Zomato Feeding India also channelise left over food to the needy people of the Society. The Jamshedpur division of the outfit distributed 20 kgs raw food material to the animal welfare society to feed the stray animals. Another business outfit Doggie Oye also donated 20 kgs dog food for the stray canines.

Later the members and the�volunteers�including women who participated actively in feeding strays, joined�the noble cause and distributed the food items at Sakchi, Bistupur, Station, Sonari , Kadma , Link Road etc. In a statement issued here, the Jharkhand Animal Welfare Society appealed the people to participate, volunteer and support their cause of welfare towards animals and help in building a more humane society for the generation to come. It is worth mentioning that India alone has over 30-35 million stray animals that do not have the right sources to food. Zomato Feeding India along with Jharkhand Animal Welfare Society aims to prioritise their health and create a better structure for animal welfare across the country. Every contribution made for the cause would ensure care, sustenance and medical support towards these homeless strays.
