Yugantar Bharati launches water pollution testing drive in city

Jamshedpur: Members of city-based NGO Yugantar Bharati flagged off a pollution testing mobile van at Bistupur under its Swarnarekha Mahotsava here on Thursday. The van moved through the city to collect samples of water from Kapali Busti, Mango and Zoological Park areas.

Sources said the vehicle will be pressed into service to collect more such samples from other localities of the city. The vehicle will be sent to Baroda Ghat at Bagbera and the banks of Kharkai in Shastrinagar. All the samples will be sent to laboratory for testing of pollution level to ascertain the general and specific levels of water pollution in the city, sources said.

Among those present during today�s programme included Ashok Goel, Ashutosh Rai, Raghvendra Pratap Singh, Sunil Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Bajrang Kumar, Mukesh Singh and Angad Munda.
