Dr. Ajay Bhushan Pandey is currently the CEO of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and has been an integral part in steering Aadhaar in India since its inception.
Over the last six years, he has closely worked with both the central and state governments, banks, oil companies and various other stakeholders to enable the use of Aadhaar platform in programs such as Direct Benefit Transfers, Financial Inclusion, and E-governance.
Dr. Pandey is an officer of Indian Administrative Service having over 30 years of experience at various positions in Government of India such as the MD of MSEDCL and Principal Secretary of IT, Maharashtra to name a few.
A graduate of Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, he went on to join the University of Minnesota where he obtained his MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science.
