Jamshedpur: XLRI – Xavier School of Management will host a pre-conference conclave on spirituality and management on March 31, marking a significant step toward redefining leadership in modern business education.

The XLRI Centre for Spirituality will host the online event, titled “Global Perspectives on Indian Spirituality and Management: The Legacy of S.K. Chakraborty,” from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM via Zoom. The conclave provides a platform for experts to discuss integrating ethical values and spiritual wisdom into contemporary management.

As global businesses face intense competition and ethical dilemmas, the conclave highlights the necessity of value-based leadership and an inner moral compass in decision-making.

Prominent academicians will attend the event, including Chief Guest Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode. Special Guests of Honour Sanjoy Mukherjee (IIM Shillong) and Madhumita Chatterji will also join the session.

The conclave pays tribute to the late S. K. Chakraborty, who pioneered the integration of spirituality into Indian management education. His philosophy, which aligns professional excellence with personal integrity, continues to influence both academic and corporate circles.

Organizers envision the conclave as more than a traditional academic gathering; they aim to foster a meaningful exchange of ideas that views leadership as a practice rooted in empathy and ethics.

The event welcomes academicians, students, researchers, and industry professionals from around the world. Through this diverse participation, XLRI seeks to build a deeper understanding of how spirituality shapes organizational culture and leadership.

This initiative reinforces XLRI’s commitment to holistic education and responsible leadership, emphasizing that management must ultimately serve society.
