Jamshedpur: District Legal Services Authority and district social welfare department jointly organized a one day orientation workshop on Sponsorship and Foster Care on Saturday. Many judicial officers, administration officials, police officers and panchayat representatives were present on the occasion.
The speakers spoke about the role of social organizations and specific persons in the care, maintenance and rehabilitation of children. In the absence of information, many outfits and people are not able to convey correct information to the government. In many cases, the information is deliberately withheld, which is an offence.
The judicial officers present during the workshop included First Class Judicial Magistrates Angelina John, Satyabhama Kumari, Rupa Bandana Kiro and Sudarshana.
