Visitors prohibited from entering Ghagidih Jail

Jamshedpur, March 17: The Ghagidih Jail administration has taken prohibitory measures against pandemic Coronavirus thereby not allowing visitors to meet jail inmates or bring in outside food for them. This order has been issued today and will remain in place until further orders.

The jailed inmates including under-trials and convicts have also been briefed about the preventive measures to be adopted against infection. Two isolation beds have been arranged in the jail premises.

There are approximately 1,500 under trials and convicts housed in the Ghagidih Jail and they include those from East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Saraikela-Kharsawan districts.
