Jadugora, Aug 28: Jharkhand Vaishnav Vairagi Samiti is going to take out a grand rally from Aam Bagan, Sakchi, to Jamshedpur Collectorate on 20th September to demand due recognition and honour for Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in Jharkhand.
The outfit general secretary Bablu Das and president Navdeep Das said around 10,000 members of Vaishnava community will participate in the rally from all over Kolhan. A seven-point memorandum addressed to the Central and state governments will be handed over to the deputy commissioner, they said.
The organizers said people from Dumka, Jamtara, Sahebganj, Puruia and Balrampur are also expected to participate in the upcoming rally. �Our major demands include naming of Dhalbhumgarh Airport after Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, starting train service from Tatanagar to Navdeep Dham, 27 per cent reservation to backward castes, government holiday on the birth anniversary of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, honorarium for Keertan Dal, installation of oil painting of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in Jharkhand Asesmbly and inclusion of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu�s life story in school syllabus,� they said.
