Jamshedpur: The vice president of Jharkhand state Congress committee Usha Singh has expressed pleasure over the Central government decision to increase the number of subsidized LPG cylinders to be given to consumers from 9 to 12.
Singh said that the Rahul Gandhi�s recommendation to PM Manmohan Singh has been made possible by the central government. She said the United Progressive Alliance had done a commendable job.
Usha Singh through a release said that during the AICC meeting in New Delhi on Jan 17 it was demanded that the number of cylinders should be increased from 9 to 12.
Acting on the same Central cabinet led by PM Manmohan Singh gave green signal to the proposal.
By giving subsidized cylinder the central government will face extra burden of Rs 3000 to Rs 4000 crores, despite that acting on demands of party workers and specially women, congress party and central government have tried to bring relief to common mans pocket.
