Jamshedpur: The security personnel of Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) reportedly stopped the alleged illegal mining near Shiva temple in UCIL Colony, Jadugora, on Saturday.
They stopped the people lifting sand on a tractor. There was no number plate on the vehicle. Sources said a local contractor had sent the contractor to the said place to lift sand.
Jadugora police officials said an investigation was on to find out the people responsible for the illegal lifting of sand.
