Jamshedpur: The Tuiladungri Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee has secured a major legal victory in the management dispute over Shri Kalgidhar Middle School. Education Department officials have assured the committee that they will dissolve the current “illegal” panel and restore management rights to the legally recognized body.
A Unified Stand for Justice
A delegation led by Sardar Satbir Singh, President of the Tuiladungri Gurudwara Committee, met with Education Department authorities to protest the unauthorized takeover of the school. The delegation included:
-
Office bearers of the Gurudwara Committee
-
Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) representatives
-
Sikh Stree Satsang Sabha and Sikh Naujawan Sabha members
-
Prominent members of the local Sikh community
The group informed officials that “anti-social elements” attempted to seize control of the school—which the committee has managed since 1956—by forming an unauthorized board.
Restoring Constitutional Management
Following the meeting, the Education Department took immediate notice of the grievance. Officials confirmed they would take prompt steps to dissolve the illegal body. During the session, Sardar Satbir Singh officially submitted the names of the newly formed, legitimate school committee members.
“For nearly 70 years, our committee has constitutionally held the authority to oversee this school,” Satbir Singh told the media. “We will continue this tradition without compromise.”
Protecting Minority Rights
Sardar Shailendra Singh, Chairman of the CGPC, emphasized that the agreement with the Jharkhand Government protects minority educational institutions. He noted that the law grants the Gurudwara Committee full management rights without government interference.
The committee hailed this development as a “victory for justice.” They reaffirmed their commitment to providing high-quality education and ensuring the school’s smooth operation under rightful leadership.
