TSDPL Kalinganagar honoured with first prize in SHE Excellence Awards in Odisha State by CII Eastern Region

Jamshedpur, September 18: Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited (TSDPL) is proud to announce that its Kalinganagar plant has recently been awarded the First Prize in the Medium-Scale Manufacturing Sector for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Excellence Awards in Odisha State for the year 2024–25. The recognition was conferred by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern Region during the Safety Symposium & Exposition held at Kolkata.

The award was given by Lokesh Ray, Advisor Shyam Mining Group and CII Senior Executive, in the presence of Rajiv Mangal, Vice President, Safety, Health and Sustainability, Tata Steel and Chairman, CII Eastern Region Safety Subcommittee

This accolade underscores TSDPL’s unwavering commitment to operational safety, environmental stewardship, and employee well-being. Rajesh Chaudhary, Chief, TSDPL, Kalinganagar, received the award in the presence of other TSDPL officials. The award ceremony witnessed participation from over 100 companies, making TSDPL’s top ranking a testament to its exemplary SHE practices and continuous improvement culture.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Chaudhary, Chief, TSDPL, Kalinganagar remarked, “This recognition reflects our team’s dedication to creating a safe and sustainable workplace. We remain committed to setting new benchmarks in SHE excellence across the industry.”

TSDPL extends its gratitude to CII Eastern Region for this honour and reaffirms its pledge to uphold the highest standards in safety, health, and environmental performance.

Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited (TSDPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel, was established to provide Steel Service Centre solutions. Its Kalinganagar plant, with a capacity of 1 MTPA (Million Tonne Per Annum), processes coils into slit coils and cut-to-length sheets.
