Jamshedpur: Armed criminals stabbed a truck driver, identified as Dilip Munda, 35, in Jadugora under Kowali police station area in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The victim was taken to UCIL Hospital where doctors referred him to MGM Hospital.
Police sources said the incident took place around 1 am when six persons carrying arms attacked Munda near Digri More. The truck was carrying stone chips from SEPL crusher plant. The accused persons snatched Rs 1100 from his possession.
Cops said the accused somehow escaped from the scene. He was bleeding all over as a result of the sudden assault with sharp weapons. Highway patrol team of local police rushed the victim to UCIL Hospital.
Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi visited Jadugora to see the victim. DSP Pitamber Khirwal and Inspector Rajeev Ranjan reached the hospital to probe into the incident.
