Jamshedpur, July 10: The trained Olchiki language candidates today protested at the DCs office demanding jobs. They handed a memorandum to the DC to the effect. The demonstrators said that the 65 candidates selected were trained at the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and all their related documents were verified in spite of which they were not provided jobs. We had hoped that jobs would be provided to us. But nothing of that has happened yet, stated one protestor.
Leading the demonstrators was Supai Chandra Hembram who said, After our training we had hoped that we would be provided jobs and we would therefore be able to overcome our poverty.
The memorandum included that all the selected candidates should be posted in East Singhbhum district and that Olchiki should be taught at primary level in every Block.
