Jamshedpur, Aug 14: Thieves decamped with cash and ornaments from the house of Tata Steel employee Ritesh Kumar Jha, resident of Sidhgora police station area. The incident took place on Friday night. According to information, the thieves stole three and a half lakh rupees, 150 grams of gold and one kg of silver from the house along with other items. The thieves entered the house through the back of the quarters. They broke the wardrobe door and locker to steal the valuables. On Saturday morning the neighbors came to know about the theft, which was reported to Ritesh Kumar Jha.

After this, Ritesh informed his brother Vijay Jha living in Kadma Ramnagar. They reached his house and informed the police of Sidhgora police station about the matter. The thieves did a recce and carried out the incident. Police reached the spot. Learned about the matter. Household items were scattered. The cupboard was open.

According to Ritesh Jha, he had left for a village located in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, after the death of a relative along with the entire family on Friday morning. They reached the village in the night. According to him, about one hundred and fifty grams of gold ornaments and 1 kg of silver jewelery were stolen from his house, including cash worth Rs 3.5 lakh. On the complaint of Vijay Kumar Jha, an FIR has been registered against the unknown at Sidhgora police station.
