Kolkata: Having organized Centenary Tribute Events of Indian Cinema Legends Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor, Mukesh, Mohd Rafi, Salil Chowdhury with stupendous success, Take 5 Communications Kolkata continued their winning streak with Guru Dutt Centenary Tribute Event, remembering the Film Maestro in his Birth Centenary Year.
Titled HUM RAHE NA HUM, the Event happened in the winter evening of December 27, 2025, at the prestigious Saturday Club Kolkata taking the Audience back in time to an Era considered the Golden Age of Indian Film Music.
On Stage Live Performances of some Timeless Songs from Guru Dutt Films and a Talk Show on the philosophy behind those Classics were the highlights of the Event. Evergreen Melodies from ‘Pyaasa’ ‘Kaagaz Ke Phool’ ‘Chaudhvi Ka Chaand’, ‘Baazi’, ‘Aar Paar’, ‘Mr. & Mrs. 55’ and ‘CID’ mesmerized the Full House Audience who cheered for more. The renditions were by Goutam Banerjee, Bratati Bhattachayya, Sudeshna Chakraborty, Md. Nawaz, Sweta Ghosh, Apurba Roy Chowdhury, Rajendra Singh and Soumya Shankar Roy. Kolkata’s hot favourite Pranam Roy anchored the Show with much élan and Film maker Tathagata Bhattacherjee, also the Chief of Take 5 Communications, conducted the Talk Show giving the Audience the right food for thought.
Smart Event Management by Learning System Kolkata helped the Grand Event start and end on time and finally it was Guru Dutt who remained in the minds of all who were there.
This was the sixth consecutive Centenary Event presented by Take 5 Communications and many more are lined up in the times to come.
