TEDxBistupur Women 2026: ‘She Leads’ Celebrates Leadership

Jamshedpur: The fifth edition of TEDxBistupur, themed ‘She Leads’, transformed the Centre for Excellence into a vibrant platform for women’s leadership and transformative ideas. A diverse audience—including students, educators, professionals, and homemakers—filled the venue with enthusiastic energy.

Organized under the global TEDx banner, this event marked a significant milestone as one of the few TEDx Women events in India over the last 15 years and the very first in Eastern India. This achievement showcased the TEDxBistupur team’s vision for bringing global conversations on innovation to the region.

Inspiring Stories and Practical Wisdom

The program opened with a welcome address before launching into a series of talks centered on empowerment, self-reliance, and technological innovation. Nine accomplished women took the stage to share their journeys:

  • Temsutula Imsong highlighted how grassroots “Swachhagrahis” turn small, consistent efforts into large-scale societal change through cleanliness movements.

  • Vini Bhagat underscored the power of self-belief in her talk, “The Mountain Within,” noting that our greatest battles happen internally.

  • Geetika Anand Gupta shared her “Five P’s” framework, identifying planning and perseverance as the essential pillars of entrepreneurial success.

  • Parul Singh redefined success in her session, “Why the Tortoise Wins,” arguing that strategy and endurance matter more than speed. Her reminder that “retreat is optional” deeply moved the crowd.

  • Ritu Mathur encouraged the audience to reframe setbacks as new beginnings.

  • Dr. Samita Bhattacharjee championed mindful responses over impulsive reactions.

  • Shikha Jain framed resources as tools for personal freedom.

  • Garima Mishra urged participants to take calculated risks and shatter their own perceived limits.

Looking Ahead

While these stories inspired the local audience, they will soon reach a global scale on the official TEDx platform. After a closing vote of thanks to all partners and contributors, the TEDxBistupur team announced a follow-up event for May featuring over ten new changemakers.

More than a mere conference, TEDxBistupur Women 2026 acted as a movement, proving that when women lead, society gains renewed energy and possibility.
