Jamshedpur, May 3: Tata Steel Sports Department organised Inter Departmental Water Polo Championship on May 2-3 at the Swimming Pool Training Centre, JRD Tata Sports Complex.
Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Chief Sports, Tata Steel, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Chairman Sports Advisory Committee and Vibhuti Dhand Adesara, Head Events & Training Centre, Tata Steel graced the occasion as Chief Guests.
The championship witnesses enthusiastic participation from a total of 260 players from 26 units of Tata Steel.
In a display of exceptional skill and sportsmanship, the team from Coke Plant emerged as the winners, showcasing their prowess and determination, whereas Power System bagged the runner’s up position. EQMS emerged as the 2nd runner’s up position.
To ensure fair play and adherence to the rules, the Championship benefited from the expertise of renowned technical officials, Firoze Khan and Yuvraj.
Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among its workforce was evident throughout the championship. The event provided an excellent platform for employees to showcase their skills and foster a healthy competition.
