Jamshedpur, April 28: Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (TSUISL) organized a Blood Donation Camp today to celebrate the World Day for Safety and Health at work. The event was held at the Jamshedpur Blood Bank and witnessed an overwhelming response from the employees.
The Managing Director of Tata Steel UISL, Ritu Raj Sinha inaugurated the camp in presence of Amarnath Tiwary, the Working President of Jusco Shramik Union. Employees of TSUISL came forward to donate blood and support the noble cause.
Speaking on the occasion, Ritu Raj Sinha said, “We are delighted to see the overwhelming response and support from our employees as part of the community for this noble cause. Blood donation saves lives, and it is heartening to see the spirit of volunteerism among the people.”
The Camp was organised by Joint Union Council Services (JUC) and was successful in collecting a significant amount of blood and supporting the local hospitals in meeting the demand for blood.
Also Present on the occasion were TSUISL Senior Leadership Team members along with JUC Chairman, Vice Chairman, officers, and union members.
In addition to this, a health check-up camp was also organised with an objective to promote healthy living and create awareness about preventative healthcare measures. The camp offered various medical checkups such as blood pressure, blood sugar testing, BMI measurement and consultation with physicians. The health check-up was conducted by a team of experienced medical professionals.
