Tata Steel officials, Jamshedpur citizens pay tributes to Ratan Tata at CFE

Jamshedpur, Oct 10: Tata Steel held floral tribute ceremonies across all its operating locations to honor the memory of Padma Vibhushan Ratan N. Tata. In Jamshedpur, the Centre for Excellence (CFE) was opened to the public on October 10, 2024, allowing citizens to pay their respects to the visionary leader.

Tata Steel employees gathered at Steelennium Hall at Jamshedpur Works to commemorate Mr. Tata’s life, legacy, and lasting contributions to the company and the nation.

Simultaneously, floral tributes were organized at all of Tata Steel’s operational sites, where employees came together to honor his legacy of transformative leadership.

At the CFE, Anand Gupta, a local jeweler, reflected on Ratan Tata’s tremendous contributions to India’s industrial growth, describing him as a champion for workers and the underprivileged. “Tata is certainly a worker and poor-savvy industry,” he remarked.

Industrialist Rounak Agarwal echoed the sentiment, stating, “Ratan, as his name denotes, was a gem of gems. For him, the nation came first, followed by industry and business.” Agarwal recalled how after the Pulwama incident, where numerous soldiers lost their lives, Tata cancelled a contract to supply trucks to Pakistan, showcasing his patriotism.

Deepak Sahu, an employee in Adityapur’s industrial area, highlighted Tata’s philanthropy. “Unlike many companies that limit their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities to their immediate surroundings, Tata’s philanthropic work extended far beyond, benefiting regions without any Tata industry presence,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the Tata Workers’ Union (TWU) held a special tribute ceremony at their office in Jamshedpur, reflecting on the deep connection Ratan Tata shared with the workforce. His leadership was admired for its humanity and genuine concern for the well-being of employees, a bond that was deeply respected by the union and its members.

Ratan Tata’s passing marks the end of an era: Dinesh Kumar

Jamshedpur, Oct 9: The passing of former Tata Group Chairman and renowned industrialist Ratan Tata has left a void not only in the business world but for the entire nation. Expressing his sorrow, BJP leader Dinesh Kumar called Tata’s death an “irreparable loss” for India.

In his statement Dinesh Kumar said, “Ratan Tata’s leadership helped India establish its identity on the global stage. He was not just a successful entrepreneur but also a symbol of philanthropy and human values.”

He further added, “The ideals and values that Ratan Tata lived by will continue to inspire generations to come. His contribution to society and business will be remembered for centuries. We have lost a true patriot and a guiding light.”

Offering his condolences to the Tata family and admirers, Dinesh Kumar expressed that Ratan Tata’s legacy will live on and his life remains an example for all. “His passing truly marks the end of an era.”

Gamharia, Oct 10:: The entire nation is deeply saddened by the demise of Ratan Tata, former chairman of the Tata Group and recipient of the Padma Vibhushan. Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA) president Inder Agarwal expressed his condolences by saying, “Ratan Tata was a great personality and a gem of the nation in the truest sense. His passing feels like the end of an era.” He added that Jamshedpur feels his loss deeply as the city was Ratan Tata’s workplace and the Tatas played a significant role in both the city’s and country’s rapid development.

 

Demise of Ratan Tata a National Loss: MP Bidyut Mahato

Jamshedpur, Oct 10: On the demise of Ratan Tata, a leading pillar of the Indian Industrial world and pioneer of the Tata Group, MP Bidyut Baran Mahato said, “It’s a national loss.” He added, “The void created by his passing cannot be filled. Under his leadership, Tata Group achieved many national and international milestones.” He adds that Ratan Tata was a sensitive person at heart who faced countless challenges with great resilience.

Mahato stated that the land of Jharkhand is forever indebted to the Tata Family for choosing Kalimati for the establishment of their industry, giving Tata Nagar and Jamshedpur international recognition.

 

Ratan Tata was a true gem to the nation: Anil Modi

Jamshedpur, Oct 10 : The city of Jamshedpur and the entire nation is weighed down by grief due to the sudden demise of Shri Ratan Tata. The president of the Jamshedpur Cloth Merchants Association Anil Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the renowned industrialist, pioneer of the Industrial Revolution and recipient of Padma Vibhushan.

He stated that Ratan Tata’s demise is an irreparable loss for the whole country and especially for Jamshedpur. He further said, “Ratan Tata’s vision, leadership and dedication to the nation were unparalleled. Through his work, he truly lived up to his name was a true gem to the nation. His death has left a void in the industrial landscape of the country and we will always feel his absence. His thoughts and ideals will continue to guide us for a lifetime.”
