Jamshedpur: Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant will function as usual on Sunday, January 4, 2026, the first Sunday of the New Year, as part of efforts to meet current business requirements and production targets. The decision has been communicated through a circular issued under the orders of Plant Head Sunil Tiwari.
According to the circular, all essential services across the plant will remain operational on the day. This includes all divisions, departments, and the General Office. Production units as well as supporting services have been instructed to function normally to ensure uninterrupted operations.
The management stated that the decision has been taken keeping in view production priorities and performance requirements. Regarding compensatory leave for employees who will be working on Sunday, the circular clarified that a separate announcement will be made at a later stage.
All divisional and departmental heads have been directed to coordinate common services as per their respective operational needs. They have also been asked to issue necessary instructions and duty rosters at their levels to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the plant on January 4.
The management has emphasised that maintaining production momentum remains the immediate focus.
