Tata Motors clarifies on shifting of units to Pantnagar

Jamshedpur, Dec 2: With various media reports being published daily on shifting of some units/ products to Pantnagar by Tata Motors Jamshedpur and thereby creating uncertainty among the small scale units in the Adityapur industrial area the company officials has clarified on the above matter and the company�s stand.

Captain PJ Singh, Spokesperson �Tata Motors Limited Jamshedpur said that TML plant in Jamshedpur is the hub of our Medium & Heavy Vehicles production and continues to be one of our most strategic manufacturing locations.

However, like most large scale manufacturing companies, we continue to look at best practices and ways to optimize our various manufacturing locations, added Singh.

Singh further said as the normal business process, these are usually dynamic policies and decisions, constantly evolving to meet business needs of the company.
