Jamshedpur: Tata Steel Adventure Foundation ( TSAF) led a team of 21 women from SAIL Steel Plants and Tata Steel for an expedition to Mt. Nag Tibba in the exotic Mussoorie region. TSAF chief Bachendri Pal along with her staff, Premlata Agrawal, Mohan Singh Rawat and Amla Rawat led the team.

The climb to the summit was filled with action and adventure.  The path was fully covered with snow and though it was a delight to most on seeing snow for the first time, the going was not easy. The trail was on a steep incline through a forest and the height and cold made it challenging.  Closer to the top , the trail turned through a ridge following which it took the team to the Summit after rigorous climbing.

It was a joyous occasion for all the 21 members to have made it to the Top.  They were rewarded with a mesmerizing view from the summit. The canvas of the sky lighted up with ice capped ranges of Bandarpoonch, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Kala Nag and more which attracts high altitude mountaineers from all over the country, said an official of TSAF.

In all her expeditions Pal  makes sure that the team members go back with some learning, so that they benefit from the adventure.  She observed Empowerment is something someone gives yousay a superior to an employee or an Organization to the Head of Department..what you do with that Empowerment is what really makes you a leader. She said the Nag Tibba Expedition was to show women their capabilities to stand upto adversities, face challenges, work together as a team, even though they were a diverse lot,  to achieve the Goal .   She further adds, I am sure they will go back and in turn build winning teams wherever they are and in whatever they do..
