Joda, Sept: Under the 12th edition of Tata Volunteering week, Tata Steel officials of Joda celebrated a day with the students of Kamarjoda UGUP School under Joda Municipality of Keonjhar district on Wednesday.
Apart from spending some time with the students during a fun-filled session, the officials distributed sports equipment to the students.
Reba Shankar Mahapatra, Senior Manager, Land & Lease, Stanley Benjamin, Manager, Administration, Ashis Kumar Acharya, Manager, Corporate Communications, MrUmakanta Mishra, Assistant, Administration and Manoj Nigadkar, Executive, Rural Development, TSRDS along with officials of Tata Steel and TSRDS participated in the event.
The sports equipment comprising two bats, three footballs, skipping ropes, flying discs, etc will bring smiles to more than 200 children studying in the School.
Apart from this, a one-day free Health Camp was also organized under Tata Volunteering Week at Banspani Club, Munda Sahi, Joda. 82 patients from Ward number 13 availed health services at the day-long health camp where Dr Naresh Munda and Dr Anmol Tiga of Tata Steel Rural Development Society volunteered their services. In the camp, apart from free consultation by the doctors,free medicines were also provided to the patients.
