Jamshedpur/Galudih: A group of six youth from Jamshedpur created disturbance at a hotel in Galudih while partying with an illegal pistol in possession. Acting on complaints, police arrested the group and recovered one pistol, five live cartridges, ₹96,350 in cash, six mobile phones, and a car (JH05 BL 2027).
The arrested youth included Roshan Topno (Hurlung, Birsanagar), Aniket Kumar (Baliguma, Mango), Aditya Kumar and Rahul Kumar Mahato (Shanti Nagar, Baridih), Manish Pandey (Pragatinagar) and Mukesh Kumar (Baridih Basti).
All the accused are involved in small businesses. They claimed the pistol was for hobby use and had an expired license. The group was charged under the Arms Act and sent to judicial custody.
Galudih Police Station in-charge Kumar Indresh confirmed the recovery and the legal action being taken.
