Six-hour kirtan held on Shravani Purnima

Jamshedpur, August 18: Anandmarg Pracharak Sangh on the occasion of Shravani Purnima organised six-hour ‘Babanaam Kevalam’ akhand kirtan at Anandmarg Ashram in Gadra, Rahargora.

On the occasion christening of girl child was done along with vedic chants.

At the event free medical camp and free food were provided to the poor. Significantly, Anandmargis all over the world celebrate Shravani Purnima with fervor.

On this day in the year 1939 that Anand murthi the founder of Anandmarg teach the learning’s to notorious mobster of West Bengal Kali Charan Bandopadhyay at Kashi Mitra ghat in Kolkata. After which mobster kali charan left the road to violence and was later known as Acharya Kalika nand Avdhut.
