Sikh community honours dignitaries on World Minority Rights Day in Ranchi

Jamshedpur/Ranchi: A grand programme was organized at the Haj House, Ranchi, on the occasion of World Minority Rights Day under the chairmanship of Jharkhand State Minority Commission Chairman Hidayatullah Khan. The event reflected the spirit of unity, constitutional values, and the role of minority communities in strengthening social harmony.

Minority Welfare Minister Hafeezul Hasan attended the programme as the chief guest. JMM Central General Secretary and spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya, State Minority Commission Vice Chairperson Jyoti Singh, along with Shamshar Alam and Pranesh Solomon, were also present on the dais.

On behalf of the Sikh community, the Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee honoured Hafeezul Hasan, Supriyo Bhattacharya, Hidayatullah Khan, and other dignitaries by presenting commemorative mementoes dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, recalling his supreme sacrifice for the protection of religious freedom and human rights.

On the occasion, State Minority Commission Chairman Hidayatullah Khan, on behalf of the Commission, honoured Central Gurudwara Committee President Bhagwan Singh and Jharkhand and CGPC Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh by presenting shawls and mementoes in recognition of their contributions towards minority welfare and communal harmony.

Several members of the Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee from Jamshedpur participated in the World Minority Rights Day programme, including President Bhagwan Singh, Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh, Vice President Chanchal Singh, General Secretary Amarjeet Singh, Gurcharan Singh Billa, advisor Sukhwinder Singh Raju, Sukhdev Singh Bittu, Sarabjeet Singh Grewal, and Raju Pandey.
