Jamshedpur: A Jharkhand Shanti Yagna (Hawan) will be organized by Damodar Shani Baba at Shanidev Mandir on Satyanarayan Mandir Road in Jugsalai. Prayers would be performed on June 3 on the auspicious occasion of Amavasya and will commence at 7 am with Navgraha (Nine planets) puja. The prayers will continue till 1 pm for the general people. Special citizens will perform the Hawan Puja between 5pm and 6 pm. Consecrated offerings will be distributed among the devotees between 11 am and 3 pm.
Addressing a press meet at Mandir premises on Thursday, Damodar Shani Baba informed that a program of devotional songs has been organized between 7 pm and 11 pm on June 3. The songs will be presented by local devotional singer Manoj Parikh. The prayer rituals will be performed by 11 priests under the supervision of Pandit Ashok Sharma.
All devotees have been invited to participate in the Jharkhand Shanti Yagna at the Shanidev Mandir on June 3. The guests on the day will include Union Tribal Affairs minister and MP Arjun Munda, BJP district president Dinesh Kumar, Har-Har Mahadev Samiti president Amarpreet Singh Kale, former parliamentarian Suman Mahto, social worker Moolchand Sahu, Nirmal Kabra, Chandragupt Singh, Anil Modi, Vimal Jalan, Nand Kishore Thakur, Bharat Singh and Ashok Bhatia.
Also present at the press conference were Sunita Sharma, Abhishek Agarwal, Billu Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Manoj Puria, Priyanshu Sharma, Hemant Agrawal, Munna Nepali, Vimal Agrawal, Rambachan and Manoj Gupta.
