Jamshedpur: South Eastern Railway (SER) General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra is scheduled to conduct a high-level inspection of key stations and operational systems within the Chakradharpur Division on February 10, 2026. The visit aims to review rail safety, security, and the progress of ongoing infrastructure development projects across the division.
Inspection Schedule and Itinerary
According to the official schedule, the General Manager will depart from Shalimar Station at 6:00 a.m. via a Special Inspection Train (L/G Special). He is expected to arrive at Adityapur Station by 10:00 a.m., where he will conduct an extensive survey of the station premises and passenger amenities.
Upon arrival at Adityapur, he will be received by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Chakradharpur and other senior officials. During the transit from Adityapur to Chakradharpur, the General Manager will perform “window trailing,” a technical inspection method used to monitor:
- The physical condition of the tracks.
- Overhead Equipment (OHE) and signalling systems.
- The structural integrity of bridges and culverts along the route.
Focus on Development and Safety
In Chakradharpur, the GM will review the railway yard and control room operations, which are vital for maintaining punctual and safe train movements. He will be accompanied by a team of department heads from the SER headquarters, including the Principal Chief Engineer, CAO (Construction), Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, and the Principal Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer.
The Chakradharpur Division is the highest revenue-generating division for South Eastern Railway. Currently, several major infrastructure projects are underway, including the construction of the third and fourth lines. This inspection is expected to accelerate these projects and provide a significant push toward expanding the passenger facility. Following the conclusion of the review at 6:00 p.m., the General Manager will return to Shalimar.
