Jamshedpur, Oct 9: Industrial Pollution is one of the major contributors top the environmental pollution.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has recognised this fact & has identified 17categoriesof most polluting industries.
CPCB has now made it mandatory for these industries to monitor the air & water pollution on-line. Further, this data would be transmitted on-line to the State Pollution Control Boards (SPCB) & the CPCB, said PK Srivatsav addressing a press conference on Friday.
He further informed that Jharkhand was one of the first states that implemented it. Today, the state PCB has a server that gathers inputs from various industries on-line. There is social awareness that is building up, as the pollution of rivers & air is one of the major concerns for the society today.
To increase the awareness about this issue & to inform the stake holders of the available on line monitoring solutions that provide connectivity to PCB servers, Forbes Marshall is organizing a technicalseminarat Hotel Dayal International Saturday, October 10. The theme of the seminar is On line monitoring ofEnvironmental Parameters & Data availability to Pollution Control Boards.
The seminar will be widely attended by various industry professionals, Pollution control authorities andeminentpeople from the society. Also present at the press meet were Avijit Sarkar and Ramesh Singh.
