Selection for Yoga state championship

Chaibasa, Dec 15: Selection trial for district representation at the state level yoga championship to be held in Ranchi was conducted at the Viveka English Medium School auditorium. The selection trial was conducted among 84 participants from the West Singhbhuim district’s several Blocks showcased their skills and abilities in front of an elite panel of judges under the chairmanship of District Yoga Association president Mukund Lal Rungta. The trial was conducted among junior groups A,B,C and D while the senior group was categorized in the same manner. The selected yoga exponents were Aditya Sonkar, Diksha Mandal, Dilip Sonkar, Manish Hansda, Munna Munda, Agni Ojha, Anamika Kumari, Diksha Kumari, Asish Kumar Prajapati, Savitri Birauli and Dipak Paswan. They will represent West Singhbhum district in the Yoga contest at the state level to be organized in Ranchi. The selected district representatives will be given special training by yoga experts for one week between 4 and 5 pm. DYA secretary Kanhaiyalal Agrawal stated that all COVID-19 protocols were in place during the selection process. The results were announced by coordinators Sumit Khirwal and Ramawtar Agrawal. The panel of judges included Sumit Vishwakarma, Sunil Prajapati, Som Nayak, Gita Toppo and Rashmi Singh.
